Our dog makes eye contact with us as well which we're told means complete trust...unlike many humans. We had her for 3 years now, she was a victim of severe abuse. When we adopted her from our local humane society when she was 3 weeks old and we had to wait until she had healed from her injuries before we could take her home. It was a tough wait for us all, the wife and i and three teenaged daughters and one preteen daughter at the time. They allowed us to take her home as early as possible only because my wife is a Registered Nurse. The girls named her Sadie, she had a broken jaw, broken leg, fractured hip and some broken ribs and very little trust in anyone or anything. Today, she is the finest happiest dog i think we have ever seen. She has never shown agression and is more than happy to play all day long with anyone who is willing! lol
