Neuro,
Can you post some info on the neutraceuticals? In particular what effects on the various lipids will they have and under what sort of dosing regime? For example, what impacts do they have on the following lipid categories: LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, LP(a) and Total cholesterol? Do users have to ingest the food daily to get an impacting benefit?
Answering these questions and comparing them to Statins and other cholesterol altering drugs as well as what sort of reductions in cholesterol or increases in HDL Doctors are looking for may help determine whether these will be competing technologies or merely complimentary. For reference, Statins can lower LDL cholesterol by up to and over 30%. Kosp's Niaspan increases HDL by about 30%. GELX cholestagel in combination with low dose Statin reduced LDL by over 30% as well, I believe.
