So only those who didn't have children but paid to educate everyone else's deserve SS benefits? The point is that what benefits society as a whole, including SS and taxes for public schools, benefit each of us as an individual. Some may put in more than they get back in direct services, some less, but we all benefit from a more functional society. Been thinking about some ways to change the tax code. One day I'll post my humble (not) opinions. I here they are discussing a VAT in the Obama WH; I don't like that idea.
