Wall street always knew, when stocks market had nice moves, people buy houses and cars.

Now that stocks are severely pulled back, housing market and car sales go way down. Just like tight monetary policy of Fed's would do.

But loose monetary policy is no longer sufficient to bail out lost wealth. No collateral for credit borrowing left.

Obviously, merger and wealth rebuilding will take time to accomplish, but we need the government to know the real economical policy. Which is not wiping out what was built over one hundred years. Bad management has to be squeezed out by mergers.

In the mean time, how GM can sell cars or lease cars that people can afford?
