Will someone explain to me why natgas isn't getting more airtime as an alternative fuel for cars? It just seems such a natural fit for the U.S. You see busses all over cities running on natgas and yet nothing is being done for autos. Maybe I haven't been alert and there is some gross reason why it's not getting done (Hindenberg notwithstanding, since that problem has been solved has it not by using hydrides)? I'm at a loss. With the amount of money that is being tossed around for this project and that for stimulus, I don't see any major commitment to this source of fuel.
