5/29/09 update
Wall Street's magicians managed to pull off a few more great tricks this week with a fine finale this afternoon. When the closing bell ended the show, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 12.90% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 7.66% CYTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Biotech Index also had a rousing week, closing Friday down -2.05% CYTD (vs. down -5.58% CYTD a week ago), while the Contest median's performance was even more magical and it's now up 5.77% CYTD (vs. down -.11% CYTD a week ago).
GENE's portfolio managed to take back the lead with RKRW's portfolio in second place & GEORGIA's portfolio in third place. Friday's closing CYTD percentages are: GENE up 68.73%, RKRW up 66.46% and GEORGIA up 52.61%.
At Friday's close, 17 of the 32 Contest portfolios are in the black and 18 of the 32 are beating the NBI.
