converting GM and Chrysler into the auto industry's version of Amtrak

Another aspect of this automotive fiasco is looking at who have been the traditional customers of these companies. Most of the "enlightened" blue state, bicycle and Prius driving Dems wouldn't be caught dead in one of the Big 3's offerings.

As far as they're concerned, it's the red necked NASCAR watching hoi polloi who drive Impalas and Dodge Ram pickups. And it's these same "ignorant white trash" who will be thinking twice about supporting socialist Obama Motors offerings in the future, especially the new "politically correct" crackerbox cars they'll be forced to produce. And I certainly doubt that the aforementioned "enlightened" will change their buying habits to support their UAW union "brothers and sisters".

I exaggerate to make a point. I've always been a car nut and have always supported Detroit over foreign brands (currently own 3 GM cars and 1 Chrysler Jeep), but no more Government Motors new ones for me. And that makes me both angry and sad...
