Urlman-interesting thread. Appears to have huge potential. However, since radars, electromagnic field theory, and antennae are very complex and not as widely followed as Java, NC's, and computing, many may not appreciate the large implications of this patented Ionized Gas Antenna. Hopefully, this thread can help to understand the extensive potential of this revolutionary technology. Military and commercial applications appear feasible and desirable.

From 10/27/97 PTSC Press Release:
1. ptsc.com
PATRIOT SCIENTIFIC'S STEALTH ANTENNA ACCEPTED BY NAVY
Naval Contract Completed and Renewed for Ionized Gas Antenna
SAN DIEGO - October 27, 1997"...
KEY EXCERPTS
..."Patriot's ionized gas antenna is used to transmit and receive radio frequency (RF) signals for potential stealth communications. Unlike resonating metallic antennae, Patriot's patented technology allows RF devices to go undetected immediately after transmission. This technological breakthrough eliminates unwanted ringing, making signal processing easier and untraceable.

In order to complete the contract and comply with Naval criteria,
Patriot constructed and tested ionized gas antenna prototypes and met
the following standards: antenna characterization, field radiation
patterns, transmission and reception of RF signals, noise floor tests and detection of upper-frequency limits. The Navy views the use of ionized gas antenna technology not only for shipboard use but also for use on aircraft...."
END EXCERPTS

Note the last sentence above. In that light, Naval vessals and test requirements present one of the most challenging environments for implementing technology sloutions.
Success in this environment will bode well for other solutions using this patented Ionized Gas Antenna, which is a technological breakthrough that eliminates unwanted ringing, making signal processing easier and untraceable.
