IN Ca the gov't employees pay packages are insane.............I have a police chief in my town that already retired from another place where he draws about 200k a year on his retirement. He is now making another 250k from my town ( and that's before overtime ).

When the butthead retires he draws from my town too.........................he makes more than the joint chief;s of staff............now that could make a guy passionate against gov't pensions.

We have a few patrolmen who draw over 175k a year right now..................they make as much as a first year Kaiser MD.........that's nuts.

We are expected to pay their retirement at 90% with our s that just got halved...............another point that can make someone passionate about the inflated gov't pension plans.

We can't afford to pay the people that are currently working cause we are paying huge sums to people who are already retired.

Any company that was operating in the above fashion would b e bankrupt ( Chrysler and GM as examples ).

All the citizens of this country are going to be on the hook for all the state gov't pensions soon because the states are all operating in the red.

We have become a country where the biggest employer is the gov't..................Ca is sick of it and let's see what the rest of the country thinks when they have to roll over and pay up.
