What you posted, relative to market share and growth rates, may be largly irrelevant to current and future investment decisions. My assertion was validated by millions of investors today, and will probably be re-validated tomorrow. What happens if foreign markets dry up or US prices are much higher because of foreign currency devaluations? Some of these foreign markets will end up down 50% or more. IMHO, a recession began today, but you won't be notified officially for about three months. I know which US companies will be hurt--all of them--I just don't know which will be hurt the worst. The environment has changed. We don't have any evidence of how current managements will react in this new environment. Expect both surprises and disappointments. Companies that led when markets were expanding won't necessarily be the leaders when this is over.
