Nadine, I am not arguing that the european welfare state is
recommendable. I am just telling You that they buy the votes
with the money they tax and print..
The socialists were in power almost nonstop in Sweden for
50 years, and a little less in Denmark. They were re-elected
again and again.
There is no way a politician in scandinavia can cut
any of the many programs we have in place and survive.
The governments in scandinavia also owns the most important TV stations. They attack any politician that dares to talk about cuts in welfare.

We have had a conservative government for 8 years in Denmark.
They had to swear again and again that they would not cut anything to get elected.
And why would they. Even danish conservatives like to decide over the lives of others.
That is what made Reagan special, he was a liberator.
And he was not loved for it over here.
I would say that the only thing that really scares the big government is people like Reagan or Thatcher.. Maybe that was
why they attacked Palin so much. She totally scared them.
