Absolutely amazing to think the US public is expected to pay $40,000 for a car without a German pedigree.
It is irrelevant what the technology will or won't do because Joe Sixpack can't get a car loan for $40,000 without a job.
Toyota will clean up for the simple reason that they offer a good car at a good price.
Of course, the Feds could give Volt buyers a $20,000 tax credit - that is not totally out of the question for Government Motors.
