I have this terrible habit of staying up till 1 or 2 and then sleeping in till 8. I have always been a night owl, and is seems to be getting worse. Night time is the only time of day I feel like I can relax. I think it must be that protestant guilt thing, but I feel like I need to be doing something productive during the day. I have a great need for solitude and a very strong desire to remain current by reading and researching and exploring. Of course the most incredible medium is the Internet, so that is what I seem to do night after night after night. Sit down in my comfy chair, turn on the lap top and surf away. I'll look up and see it's very early am and reluctantly turn it off and go to bed. I'm really not sleepy, but I realize I "need" sleep, so off I go and toss and turn until it happens.

My Dad was like that and claims he only got 4 - 5 hours of sleep every night. I remember calling or going over at 9 in the am and he'd still be in bed because he didn't get there until 4 or 5. It's crazy.............his clock was all topsey turvey and so is mine.
