Anything having to do with his hair is the very same meaningless fluff the Right is whining about now.

I don't look at it as left and right, I look at it as male / female. Extravagant spending aside, we want women to look good, and expect them to make an effort to look good. There is no excess in time money and efford for women trying to look good.

With men, yeah it is a plus if they look good, but it has to look like it is an accident. A guy standing in front of mirror for more than a few seconds tidying up is suspect.


Vanity is a human trait. Ever been to a sports gym? That trait is found in both genders. And contrary to public opinion, straight men [at least they give the appearance of being straight] tend to be nearly as vain as their gay and female counterparts.

Edward's vanity proved to be the least of his problems. He ended up badly insulting his wife and denigrating his marriage much like Newt Gingrich. Both have paid a dear price for their vanity.
