Prices are a result of supply and demand. In the real world, anyway.

The Iraqi war might have had a temporary impact in that Iraqi production probably declined some for awhile. Though its higher now than before the war. The Afghan war has no impact on oil at all.

And you think an oil and foreign policy set by Cheney, a former oil exec, in concert with the oil execs in a meeting behind closed doors, as well as unprecedented tax breaks and subsidies for oil during the Bush Admin, signed of by a President who's family are close friends with the Saudi Royal family, doesn't constitute crony capitalism?

No. In what way did the Bush administration manipulate prices higher? They didn't. Prices went up, then down due to changes in supply and demand. And eventually they'll rise again for the same reason.

Your economic thinking is really primitive. You think some cigar smoking guys in a room can secretly make prices of a worldwide traded commodity go up and down. How can any well-educated person believe such things. My opinon of your intelligence is really going down now.
