George Tiller was shot to death by a terrorist on May 31, 2009, during worship services

I do not agree with the word terrorist. This is not nit-picking but it is important to have the word used when appropriately or it does not mean anything.

A better word would be assassin or murderer.

The assassin is not a terrorist because:
* He only targeted the one person.
* He did not use a bomb to take out as many other innocent victims as possible.
* He did not seek to create terror in a larger general population.
* He does not known have a history of similar action.

If we use the word terrorist loosely then defining Osama Bin Laden as a terrorist will mean nothing more than on ordinary criminal. Words mean something.
