Exactly. Both sides are incredible hypocrites when it comes to the judicial nomination process.

Unfortunately, being obstructionist pays off very well. I remember when Bush Sr. nominated David Souter. Souter was considered an unknown, a guy who can stay underneath the radar of both the left and the right. Bush needed that because, IIRC, he was having trouble finding a nominee that would satisfy the Democrats in Congress. That includes the masterminds of "Borking," Kennedy and Biden.

Turns out Souter became one of the most liberal Supreme Court justices in history. Don't think that the GOP will ever forget, even if the mainstream media does.
