True. You know, I believe in cutting taxes, but not necessarily on individuals, and most definitely not if it increases deficits. I think corporate tax cuts are incredibly stimulative, but individual tax cuts are a waste of money, because they simply put the money in the bank or they go buy electronic goods from China. Either way, it has very little stimulative power. My preferred stimulus package would have been massive tax cuts for renewable energy companies or other companies that are involved in anything that moves us to renewable energy, including car companies building cars powered by things other than gas. That would have been far preferable to the nebulus recovery package we got.

Look at China. They just signed off on a $500B stimulus bill exclusively focused on renewable energy. WOW! That is going to give them a damn good shot at leading the renewable energy industry in the decades to come. That saddens me, because we invented the renewable energy industry and we're watching it being taken over by Europeans and Asians. The next big industry and we're watching the lead slip away.
