My yellow was the same way. We lived in a small town and one day Yeller, how original:), broke his chain and went roaming. He ended up outside the door of the little cafe. Now he is a pretty big dog so nobody is willing to step out the door so they call our little policeman who drives over to the cafe and is trying to decide if he wants to get out of the car or not. Finally Jim opens his door to climb out and Yeller charges over the top of him into the passenger seat and then sits there waiting for a ride. Jim said he about shit himself when the dog came at him:)

From then on over the years when he would get loose I'd get a call from Jim telling me my dog is tied to the light post in front of city hall.
