I told you. I think both are qualified in every respect and should not be blocked.

But I think they should be worked over the way R nominees have been. There is little doubt either would pass muster. I don't want the Rs to lay down the way they have in the past only to be slammed by the Ds when it is their turn. The Rs need to show the Ds that two can play this game.

This most recent appointment, however, clearly has some questions to answer. She's going to be on the Court, there is nothing that will stop that. But there is plenty of fodder there for the Rs to make her look foolish the way the Ds did Thomas and others, and they damned well ought to do it.

I can't say I know enough about her to have a strong opinion, but if more cases like Ricci turn up then she ought to have account for them. It appears to be racist to me.
