I think the poll is accurate if not a little inflated on the side that wishes to close the unit. After all the public agrees with waterboarding and other techniques which had been employed there. The prison is an inanimate object and has no political/social philosophy. It is just secure living facilities constructed to house dangerous people. The cost is great to abandon the facility and use others. Both legally and simply on dollar value.

You don't blame Washington State Law School for Kenneth, how can anyone blame Gitmo as well. If you want to change policy, you simply do that. To blame steel, block and wood is simply stupid. Americans see that. Phony people don't.
