No doubt you are right about the authors intention. I did remember the incident in Rockford that Karen pointed out, once my memory was jogged. Have you ever viewed a painting and been struck by how it captured the meaning of life, only to read the plaque and discover that it is the artists portrait of his much hated mother in law? Realizing that I'm crazy as a loon, I'll leave it at that. Where's the_wheel when I need him. ARS
