Markets allowed to function will force the required adjustments. Bad policy only makes the normal transitions more difficult. Good policy can make transitions smoother.

Abrupt step function changes as advocated by some make the train wreck scenario more likely,

I simply cannot understand why an "all of the above" energy policy is not best. It prevents nothing but a train wreck.
