It astounds me that we live in a country where among some people, the killers of doctors are the heroes!

Heroes? Who had called the murderer a hero?

I've watched the media for the days since this happened and I've yet to hear ANY "rightwinger" suggest anything of the sort.

Now, you may find SOMEONE who claims it, but it is not coming from the mainstream of the Right.

They haven't called him a hero but they are saying Dr. Tiller deserved what he got.....however, that's the radical right, and not the 'mainstream' right as you suggest.

And before we leave this subject, it didn't help matters when people like Bill O'Reilly would make comments like this:

"O'Reilly laid out the details in his Talking Points Memo, on November 3rd.

"In the state of Kansas, there is a doctor, George Tiller, who will execute babies for $5,000 if the mother is depressed. And there are rapists impregnating 10-year-olds who are being protected by abortion clinics. It doesn't get worse than that. This is the absolute shame of America.""

For you to call an abortionist who specializes in killing viable, late term fetuses "courageous" is a far more egregious statement than any that has come from the Right about his killer.

Sorry but my courageous statement stands......given the threats, it takes real courage to go forward when it would be so much easier just to have a regular practice.
