HH, thanks for the complements but I think Joe deserves them more than anyone else on this thread. Then again not since he called everyone a sucker. -g- Seriously, the two best things that happened to me as an investor are getting to know Mike Burke and Joe G. They both provoked a lot of thinking in and stimulated my brain cells. -g- Both certainly made me read a lot of stuff, not just the stuff they wrote but other material as well. Joe and Mike, thanks!
Isn't it interesting that this thread started as a result of a goofy note I wrote back in December 1996. Yet, it got mature enough for all the participants collectively call an important turn in the market. What is more is the spirit of the participants here. We laughed and giggled even when we were down big time. Disturbed, may be, but never shaken.
For me this thread has become a part of my life and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I made good friends here. We are together to hold hands and share grief and joy. No flames even in disagreements (what disagreements? -g-) My special thanks to you, Dan, Eddie, Pete, Mike M., Barry, Jumper, Jastej, Terry, Ken, and of course Joe, and other regulars who have shared a lot of knowledge and a wealth of information. This is not a speech - since it is coming out my heart, I don't want to stop it.
We are wise enough to call a big turn. Hope we will be lucky enough to make money and keep it too.
