More likely than not a bald faced lie, based on what, exactly? Your need to believe the Right Wing line du jour? I'd say your disputation on the matter is much more likely a bald faced lie, or maybe you really believe that statistics you know to be wrong are all lies by virtue of your personal omniscience. I know it's pretty silly to throw links in the face of such omniscience, but I will anyway. Long before Sotomayor was on anybody's radar, there was this article, slate.com , giving essentially the same numbers. The cited source there (and apparently in the media matters source you summarily dismiss because you don't like the figures, is scotuswiki.com . Which looks to be pretty comprehensive. If you want an independent source, there's one cited in law.com . Offhand, I'd say that if you want anybody to consider your omniscience on the matter seriously, you ought to dig up some contrary numbers from somewhere. I'm not holding my breath.
