I agree with your statement.

So far, in trying to find out what's actually in the bill, it appears that it only protects churches from having to perform weddings. I would think that would include any religious ceremony for funerals, baptisms, etc., also.

What I was looking for mostly was any language that protects adoption services, religious or otherwise, from having to place a certain percentage of healthy infants with gay married couples. Or language allowing the summer camps churches run to be excluded. Or facilities for adult retreats that some churches own and operate.

Examples like this don't appear to be protected. Since each of them is a commercial enterprise of sorts and open to participation by members of other demoninations, there would be no protection from litigation by the gay community.

It was the vulnerability of adoption services that galvinized the Mormons in CA, who btw, have long been supportive of legal civil unions. Anyone who thought Jon Huntsman was a mavarick when he spoke out as being in favor of them is misinformed. That is and was the official church position before Prop 8, and Jon Huntsman is simply agreeing with it.
