The prospect of a child who was adopted by a gay couple being banned from a summer church camp out of prejudice against their parents is a sad prospect indeed.

The simple solution is for churches to declare certain activities open only to full members and their families. They won't be able to adopt a mostly public stance to bring in more bodies but still selectively discriminate against some people walking through the door.

Same thing for adoption services - if it's not members only, then they get to practice the same equal protection doctrine that protects their privacy rights.
