They almost lost a 340 the same way a short time ago on it's way from Australia.

No doubt that's where they have the data and thus the corrective pilot action from.

Its not looking good.....there was also the 330 [AA] that lost a tail or tail rudder and crashed in NYC a few years ago. There may be something wrong structurally with the plane.
