There is only one way to stop that stuff and it is education. The survival of the human species will depend on how wmany minds we can develop as quickly as possible. Our big hope might be women. The have more empathy and work harder than men and are kinder. Liberals understand how bad jingoism is and the importance of honoring all cultures for their good qualities, and that we are all one people living on the planet earth. We are all brothers and sisters. Wharf Rat is a Jew, but first of all he is a very clear and very honest thinker. Quite self actualized. He is the rare pilosopher who can objectively quesiton even his own people, when he feels they are wrong. Even Einstein struggled to do that. Tough, so it takes a strong mind. I have no people, so easy for me-lol. The resaosn he can do that is because he has worked on his knowledge and logic all his life, as the discoverying of wisdom through the knowledge of those who went before him. The persuit of wisdom and the acknowledgment of ignorance is the first order of the day. We need to throw hundreds of billions of dollars into education right now, from pre school to cheap university education.. It revovles around this one concept: "knowledge directed perception". One cannot see what one does nto udnerstand e.g. jingoism.
