Yes I agree they will work out some sort of benign and sensible regulation.

In fact I see news constantly about how they are studying the problem intensely at least in the Marcellus Shale and are trying to figure out what's what.

The industry is definitely deeply involved in this process which in general is being handled or moderated by some academics that have been on top of the Shale gas situation for years.

There are some lunatic fringe, screaming environmentalists who would like to ban the whole process based on emotional outbursts not science but I believe they will be shuttled aside as the shale gas resource is too immense to be left to lie fallow. Reasonable environmental concerns will be addressed. It's not an all or nothing situation.

Reasonable folks on all sides of the issue can and must come up with something workable. And they are talking together intensely on just that.
