Westpacific;

everyone is to blame including the workers!

Is there blame to go around, sure. But who is ultimately responsible? It all starts at the top. That is why those guys get paid the big bucks. ......The CEO of Zipcar was on CNBC this week and he was asked what new cars he is buying - he said that they sent out a questionaire to their 300,000 members and not one - NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON - requested a GM car so they have no GM cars in their fleet. There is your problem with GM and you can twist the facts anyway you want but if not many people want your car, they're not going to sell.

How about the electricians who walk around the plants like lords in feudal times, making people wait on them for countless hours while they drag ass so they can come in on the weekend and make double and triple time for a job they easily could have done within their normal 40 hour work week

Now who is at fault here? To draw from this statement that all Americans are worthless and lazy is pathetic. I'm so sick of hearing that it is the fault of the workers from a few stupid examples such as this. Bull! This is the fault of management for allowing it to happen. We can make things here; Boeing makes planes, Paccar makes trucks, Deere makes farm equipment Cat makes earth moving equipment and on and on. They did it with union workers and compete everywhere around the world. Somehow their workers are doing just fine and making a living wage - and there are lots of auto workers here as well, but the difference is they make a car people want. GM does NOT!
