State and local spending per capita CA is $11,083 usgovernmentspending.com compare to the second most populous state Texas at $7775.1 usgovernmentspending.com or to neighbors 9,184.8 usgovernmentspending.com 8,273.8 usgovernmentspending.com 8,531.7 usgovernmentspending.com New York and Alaska are higher than CA, but its hard to find any other state where the total is higher. I thought it would be in Hawaii but it isn't.
