Not only numbers. Statistics are lies too! Almost forgot to say that. You live by the numbers you die by the numbers.

My boss -the general Project Manager- shares responsibilities for the profit and loss of the project with the director of sales.

I manage the installation, commissioning and integration of the platforms. My colleague manages construction of fiber optics routes.

I January I ran the proejct alone, since both were on long holidays.
I've got a good glimpse of the project and discovered what they're doing here is wrong.

They run the project looking soleley on a Grade of Completion spreadsheet. Because they have an incentive to maximize invoicing.

I told them to change. As a result we all ended up in Munich last March. And hence forth are going there every two months.

Note that me number illiterate saw the problem and showed it under a different perspective.

In Munich we discovered USD 6 million was not showing. Made a conference call with Brazil, the number man there played dumb. I thought that gy can't be that dumb else he would not be holding that psoition. Well, he was playing wayo. The USD6 million was there and the accountants were holding it in Brazil, obviously getting lots of money in interest!

See, I don' theorize. I live it and I work it.
