Yes, it has and will continue in that vein imo. It's almost as if there was a first system and a second, more insidious system sprung forth. I don't believe some grand design or central planning took place that created what it is, but there's no doubt it is a second system that would rather document its version of history than yours or mine........even if it is a very large insult to millions of Americans wedded by blood to that history. I've heard some people on the left call it retribution.
