The world number one, who struggled to a two-over 74 on Friday and seemingly was out of contention, birdied seven times on Sunday and hit an eagle on the 11th en route to a blistering 65. That left him on seven under for the day, which was far superior to what any of his closest rivals managed, and 12-under-par overall. ### Woods finished on 12-under-par 276, one stroke ahead of Jim Furyk and three clear of Jonathan Byrd and Mark Wilson. ... With three holes to play, he was locked in a four-way tie at 10 under par after making a bogey on the 16th. But he finished in typical Tiger style with birdies on the final two holes. ... He didn't miss a fairway in the final round, the first time he has done that in more than five years. He missed only five fairways all week, his most accurate tournament off the tee since the 1998 Masters. Woods won the Memorial for a record fourth time, and tournament host Jack Nicklaus was there to greet him behind the 18th green.
