XOMA was up 26.4% at 10.55AM, but closed up only 11.32% on volume of 28,064,363 about 9x its ADV This is the 3rd day of high volumes for XOMA, although it has not been able to match the May 15 volume of 41,531,100 which was a 'down day' as the price closed below the May 14 C of $0.85 <g> bigcharts.marketwatch.com On Saturday it presented at the American Diabetes Association in New Orleans some results from the PI of a single dose of XOMA 052 given intravenously to patients with Type 2 diabetes, which provide confirmation of the drug as an anti-inflammatory approach to treatment. In the last 2Qs XOMA has been able to cut its losses and also has reported significant improvement on revenues.The EL for 2009 is around $0.15 vs. $0.34 in 2008, but no significant further cut on the loss is expected for 2010. <g> Last month it announced the sale of $10M worth of stocks and warrants.
