Richard, i am not a lawyer but there might be a fine line between what the company considers a material effect and what can be proven in court. From my perspective as a stockholder , i think the prudent course would be to hold off on the issuing of any information until the current adverse environment turns. many companies don't release information as it occurs, the mining companies are the best example. their excuse"it was not material at the time, "in our opinion."
