Everyone howled at their 8% figure.

In the first place, how do you claim an 8% topping out and have it be consistent with the "worst economy since the Great Depression"? The knew where it was headed. Or they knew they were lying about the economy.

Whatever a person wants to say about the Bush administration, at least they were honest. These new guys will just lie for the hell of it.
