The immediate problem I see now is this -

The Fed said they gonna do quantitative easing in March,
trying to bring down the rates. And the rates went up a bundle,
it turned out to be quantitative tightening as folks ran from
T-bonds into everything else. The economy can't
handle higher rates now, and home sales already died despite
a strong season.

This might be a problem, kinda like a failure of monetary
policy. No wonder some folks were having a cow in late May.
Fed said stuff and it didn't work. -g-

Rates are way too high given the weak state of the economy,
and a market selloff is now necessary to bring them down.
