Yeah, I think he knows it can't be done they way they're presenting it.

The objective here really doesn't involve "saving"; it is all about putting us on a glide slope for socialized medicine -- something they figure they can't do in one swift move.

The first order of business is to get everyone they can on the public dole with respect to health care. This consolidates the political power and insures that ALL people will have coverage into perpetuity (you can't, after all, get rid of a program like this, no matter how fiscally unsound it is [see: Medicare]).

There is no penalty for lying about the potential for savings, so why not do it? There are enough who will buy it to insure passage of the enabling legislation.

IN regard to the blog you posted --

I sincerely hope they do cut Medicare reimbursements and that simultaneously, physicians around the country say, "I've had it. We're not seeing Medicare patients any longer".

Every physician and other health care provider ought to be taking note of this game plan.
