I don't mind presidents having such a night out. The spending was excessive by ordinary standards, but that's just the nature of the cost of moving presidents around and making sure they and the people with them are safe.

I mind the hypocrisy

Obama

1 - Talks about how anthropocentric global warming is such solid science and such a vital issue to combat it, and then he does this. I guess its just the "little people" who have to cut back on fossil fuels.

2 - Complains about corporate percs for CEOs and particularly private jets. I guess CEOs (at least those who aren't friends of the administration) are also "little people".

Its like many states response to gambling. That is so immoral that we have to forbid private entities from running it, but its just fine for the state to run lotteries...
