>> "Liberalism is a mental disorder"..

I'm back and forth on this. I don't know if it is just a result of sheer stupidity. Or ignorance run amok. Or whether there is in fact an element of mental illness involved.

I do know these people just aren't functioning correctly. There are a lot of liberals who are ostensibly "smart" people.

Take Bill Joy, for example -- well known in computer/IT circles as a bright "idea" man. Yet, inexplicably, during the Bush v. Gore era, the man comes out and says the most stupid thing -- essentially, "There is no way a computer can do as good a job counting votes as humans".

The statement was utterly absurd to those of us who have spent our lives designing and developing software, who have been constantly in search of better ways of doing things using computers.

Then, you have this so-called "computer genius" come out and make an utterly absurd statement. He isn't stupid, he isn't ignorant (at least of that subject). He is, however, either corrupted or mentally ill. The statement was laughable on its face.

There is definitly a screw loose with many of them.
