(And yet *somehow* they ALWAYS MANAGE to come up with EVER BIGGER DEFICITS, ever more federal BORROWING and SPENDING.)

So... if those are "real fiscal conservatives" then they are either idiots or else near totally impractical and incompetent at functioning in the real world.....

But I prefer to *not think* that people who LOUDLY TRUMPET how "fiscally conservative" they are --- yet who always manage to run higher and higher deficits where the rubber meets the road --- are "idiots".

Nope!

I believe that many of them are quite smart, quite cunning... it's just that they are LYING about that 'deep devotion' they profess to fiscal prudence. (Balancing budgets AIN'T what they are about.)

They AIN'T 'fiscal conservatives'. Not in the real world (outside of their fantasies) anyway. :-)
