someone was forced to go that didn't want to be there..

One of my genius moves was to impulsively marry a drunk that had been 12 years clean. Thought sobriety had cured underlying problems. WRONG!!

During those brief years I attended dozens of AA meetings. Most of those successful tended to be high intellect types. I repeatedly heard the claim that only about 5% beat their addiction. And most of those that did quit still struggled with their haunts. All had stories about dead friends who didn't make the cut.

Their was almost universal resentment against court-ordered attendees. Those coerced had an even worse success rate and they were a distraction to the serious.

But I guess some schiksas do OK.
