I believe sports teams should have names that reflect their city or area. The Magic represent the magic of Disney. The Rockets represent Houston's NASA. The Knicks are Knickerbockers, which are only found in New York. L.A. is a desert. It is not filled with lakes. They should have changed the name when they moved out of ManyNoPlace. But the worst is The Utah Jazz. I actually know some Mormons who enjoy Jazz, but that is not a state characteristic. I've never heard scatting from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. What next, The New Orleans Deserets?
