Thinking about picking up another rifle in case times get really tough. I'm torn between the Winchester .458 and the Ruger .416. Got an option?

Ammo availability is a critical factor to consider at this time. Also consider terrain, shorter barrels are handier around buildings.

The 458 and 416 are good rounds for grizzlies and shooting into vehicles.

If you cannot get a CAR-15 (my favorite, once upon a time), suggest looking at something like the Ruger All-Weather Mini-Thirty Rifle. I grew very fond of the 7.62 round back in the M-60 days. The ammo is still readily available.

PS I bought a Micro Desert Eagle a few weeks ago to use for a pocket gun.
Exceptionally well built .380 and good shooter.
