As I noted, they couldn't make their case and get at least 4 of the judges interested. If the issues are as blatantly obvious as you are pretending, that wouldn't be the case.

The issue isn't whether it is "obvious" it is whether a petition was presented that reflects constitutional issues or conflicts amongst the lower courts that need to be addressed.

We haven't heard the end of this; there are going to be lawsuits flying all over the place for years to come. The litigation itself may be sufficient to keep Chrysler and GM in doldrums for the next 15 years.

What is really obvious is that the dealers who built these companies have been f*cked so that the UAW can survive.
