I don't think Obama could withstand sustained criticism. Let's face it. He's said so many utterly stupid things and has been protected by the press. The press also closed ranks around him over Wright. Obama has yet to be subjected to any real scrutiny. He lies his way out of a crisis with aplomb because the media fails to challenge him. He's controlling the media every day and the fools are behaving like lapdogs.
