I hadn't heard of Steve Clemons before, of the New American Foundation. He calls himself a 'progressive realist'. I listened to him a while on a recent Warren Olney/To The Point radio show. I rather liked him despite disagreeing with him, because he's not from la-la land and he puts an argument together. He's not like many lefties, pushing unfalsifiable theories based on what they just know 'must' be true in the face of all evidence to the contrary.
